0700 Cadets are still asleep, which is unusual for them. I take a few minutes to wake up,
before getting up.
Everything is packed except toothbrushes. I do final checks before starting breakfast, and
waking the Cadets.
0800 Cadets are up and dressed. Replicators are all very well and good, but good tea needs
to be steeped in hot water.
0900 Loading the shuttle. The tribbles will stay behind, but wI’lbergh, my targ is coming with
us. After a brief search wI’lbergh is discovered sleeping in my bags. The shuttle loaded,
Cadets buckled in, I don’t have my carafe of hot tea. Hopefully, this is the only thing we
forgot. Tea retrieved…we are cleared for launch.
1000 Cadet L has finished her juice. We will be stopping earlier than expected, but we're
making good time. wI’lbergh grunts. How the targ got hooked on raktajino, I will never know.
Long range sensors indicate the possibility of raktajino and other facilities up ahead.
wI’lbergh is a snob and will not drink replicated coffee.
1100 Sooooooooo bored.
1115 Gone are the days when I could read without getting motion sick
1130 I never did finish that documentary where they did MRIs of Sting’s brain. I need to find
that.
1145 What if STARFLEET Academy manuals were audiobooks?
1200 Cadets hungry. Again. We’ll have to stop soon, or Cadet H might resort to cannibalism.
1245 Back on the road, Cadets fed. Why are there no play structures at rest stops? Cadet H
needs to climb something. I must find a dry, open, space for the Cadets to run around. Long
range sensors indicate nothing for the next hour.

1400 Sunburnt. Fuzzy-Wuzzy was sunburnt.

1445 The Big Apple, a giant oversized sculpture of an apple oversees a pie factory. The
Cadets are fascinated by the sight of factory workers baking pies. Minigolf, the mini train, and
the carousel are unfortunately closed because of the weather. Hopefully, the weather will be
better on the return trip. There is a greater variety of baked goods than just apple. The
raspberry cheese Danish is flaky and delicious. There’s a great variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ciders, and house wines. The ubiquitous plush toys, and name plate keychains can be purchased at the usual prices. Quark would be proud. We leave with an apple pie, and an apple pastry.
