USS RENAISSANCE NCC-74874
The USS Renaissance NCC-74874 is a chapter of STARFLEET International Inc. The Chapter is correspondence-based, with members all over North America. Canadian Provinces are represented by Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and Newfoundland. Being truly International, the USS Renaissance proudly has members from Canada, United States of America and as far away as the United Kingdom.
The chapter has a focus on community service through fundraising, volunteerism, and advocacy. Past events include fundraisers for animal rescue and shelters, blood donations, homelessness, and food drives.
Members participate in a variety of events, such as: virtual games & trivia, watch parties, cosplay, and conventions. There are also active chats with the crew on Facebook Messenger and Discord.
The Star Trek aspect is fan-based. The “Ship” is a Sovereign Class Starship that is primarily a Science Vessel. Some modifications were made to the ship due to the Borg invasion of the Sol Sector. The club uses STARFLEET ranks, which are fictitious, and enhance the experience. We also have specialties and Billets such as Captain, XO, Chief Operations Officer, Chief of Security, Chief Medical Officer, and more – just like in Star Trek!
Being part of STARFLEET International allows you to take courses through STARFLEET Academy, leading to “degree” programs and a path to promotion. STARFLEET also offers a Medical, Marine and a Special Ops path. Even your pets are welcome in Starfleet.
Of course, you can join to just be a part of STARFLEET and enjoy Trek with other fans of the 55+ year (since 1966) phenomenon.

USS RENAISSANCE SPECIAL OPS
Between the explorers and diplomats of the Fleet and the soldiers of the Special Forces (SF) Marines, exists the SF Special Operations Units(SOU). An SOU is an auxiliary department in STARFLEET that allows a person to participate in many more ways than the usual classes of the crew. Onboard the USS Renaissance, we are proud to have SOU #1725, ‘The Berserkers’, ‘Fist of the Fleet’! This is a MACO unit, which has changed from the original concept of a military unit to encompass the functions of police, intelligence officers, bodyguards and more – both in role-play or at conventions. Look into this new way of participating!
USS RENAISSANCE MARINES
The STARFLEET Marine Corps (SFMC) is a group affiliated with STARFLEET, The International Star Trek Fan Association Inc. The SFMC is considered an office under the Vice Commander, STARFLEET and as such reports to Vice Commander, STARFLEET.
Onboard the USS Renaissance the Marine Strike Group shall have authority to regulate its nomenclature, heraldry, flags, colour, streamers, awards, uniforms and other similar elements peculiar to consistent with the authority of the SFMC, the Parent Brigade and these bylaws.
