Star Trek Picard: “Assimilation” S2/E3

In the “Assimilation” episode, the CSS La Sirena crew, including Captain Picard and Seven of Nine, face conflict with the Confederation magistrate. Celebrating Jeri Ryan’s recent Astra TV Award for her role as Seven of Nine, the crew reluctantly drops their phasers as the magistrate questions their concern for a Romulan. Seven tries to assert her authority, but the magistrate challenges her identity. A confrontation ensues, leading to the crew overpowering the magistrate’s forces. Meanwhile, Dr. Jurati works on integrating the Borg Queen with La Sirena’s systems. In the midst of chaos, Elnor is wounded, and as the crew tends to him, the ship comes under attack. Q appears, teasing Picard about the consequences of his fear. Jurati struggles with a risky maneuver through a solar flare, and the Borg Queen takes control, successfully defending the ship. The episode ends with a dramatic warp jump, leaving the crew in a suspended moment in time.
