STARFLEET MARINE CORPS. AWARDS

The STARFLEET Marine Corps awards program serves two main purposes: recognizing achievements and motivating members. The program evolves to meet organizational needs, and staying informed through the Deputy Commandant is crucial.

To receive an award, nominations are submitted through the chain of command, with specific Issuing Authorities designated for each award. Eligibility is limited to STARFLEET Marines or units in good standing, and nominations must be made within six months of the qualifying event. All awards have a once-per-year limit per Marine.

Nominations can be made by anyone in the Chain of Command, emphasizing the importance of unit reports and communication. Military service ribbons cannot be worn on SFMC uniforms. The ribbons are worn in order of precedence, with each row limited to three ribbons or four for 24 or more ribbons. Stars represent additional awards on the same ribbon. Award categories include Achievement, Service, or Training, with precedence in that order.
