ACTIVITIES:
USS Renaissance Crew Meeting: Our crew meeting is scheduled to take place in mid-April 2023.
Our Fleet of Shuttles:?Captain Harper and Ensign Roberge took the “Chicoutimi” to Starbase Great Lakes where the Captain’s Yacht was being serviced. After a short visit with Director Jackola, they continued on as they took part in an extended Cadet training mission. They kept us “in the loop” as they shared pictures from the mission via “subspace”.
Website Revamp: Work on our website continues. We are also in the process of reworking our ship manual so that it reflects our current crew and situation.
USS Renaissance Cadets: MCPO Fisher is working on a series of Cadet training videos. It is hoped that these videos will inspire our Cadets to explore the science all around them!
Alliance with Montreal Klingons (KAG): Our friends from KAG continue to attend our meetings and events. We are continuing to plan for the Montreal Comiccon in July 2023 and we continue to meet on a regular basis. This month we focused on writing booth rules and etiquette, as well as finalizing the floor plan for the booth.
Social Media Platforms: Our public page continues to draw a “crowd”. Our crew continues to “chat” via messenger and Discord and we spend time throughout the week checking in.
Recruitment/Retention: As a result of our presence at the Mini-Con in Montreal, we have picked up a couple of new members and this is very encouraging.
Events and Challenges: Saturday night social hours continue on the Renaissance and we continue to have good attendance each week! The crew took part in the Region 13 step challenge (February & March) and the Men of Starfleet STARFLEET Medical challenge (February & March).
