ACTIVITIES :
USS Renaissance Crew Meeting: Our crew meeting is scheduled to take place in mid-March 2023.
Our Fleet of Shuttles:
Commander Mitson took a shuttle out on an extended away mission – and kept us “in the loop” as he shared pictures from the mission via “subspace”.
Website Revamp: Work on our website continues. We are also in the process of reworking our ship manual so that it reflects our current crew and situation.
USS Renaissance Cadets: MCPO Fisher created a wildlife scavenger hunt video and we look forward to seeing what our Cadets find in their backyards!
Alliance with Montreal Klingons (KAG): Our friends from KAG continue to attend our meetings and events. We are continuing to plan for the Montreal Comiccon in July 2023 and we continue to meet on a regular basis. This month we focused on creating schedules for the three-day event and creating the floor plan for the booth.
Social Media Platforms: Our public page continues to draw a “crowd”. Our crew continues to “chat” via messenger and Discord and we spend time throughout the week checking in.
Recruitment/Retention: As a result of our presence at the Mini-Con in Montreal, we have picked up a couple of new members and this is very encouraging. As well, two new francophone Star Trek fans have joined us for our virtual events – it is a challenge…but being bilingual makes difference…and they enjoy uniform/costume show and tell!
Events and Challenges: Saturday night social hours continue on the Renaissance and we continue to have good attendance each week! Our standing invitation to take part in the Games Night with the USS Sandwich has also been well attended by the Renaissance crew, others in Region 13 and SFI members from several different regions. The crew is looking forward to starting the new Region 13 step challenge (February & March) and the Men of Starfleet STARFLEET Medical challenge (February & March).
